    Thinking of going away for a holiday? Need a place for your dog or cat to stay for a couple of days? Family Friends Veterinary Hospital & Kennel can provide a safe and clean environment for your pet to stay while you are away.
    Take comfort in knowing that your pet will be looked after, kept clean, and be fed on a timely schedule to make sure that their daily schedule is interrupted as little as possible with veterinary care available in case of an emergency.
    If you do decide that Family Friends is the right facility for your pet, there are some guidelines that you should be aware of.


    First, all dogs must be current on Rabies, DHLPP (distemper), Bordetella (Kennel cough), and Leptosporosis vaccinations, as well as have had a negative fecal and heartworm test within the previous year. All cats must be current on Rabies vaccination, FVRCCP, and Leukemia vaccination  (or have a negative Leukemia test for indoor cats).

    Dogs:
  • Must be 6 months or older and less than 10 years old
  • No medical issues
  • Cannot have thunderstorm phobias
  • No surgery within the last month
  • Bordetella at least 2 weeks prior to reservation
  • Must be current on all vaccination

Cats:

  • Must be 6 months or older and less than 12 years old
  • No medical issues
  • Must be current on all vaccinations, including Leukemia

 

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday:    9:00AM to 5:30PM

Wednesday:   9:00AM to 12:30PM

Saturday:   9:00AM to 4:30PM

Sunday:  Closed

Closed Holidays:  New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thansgiving, and Christmas.

No pick-ups or drop-offs on these days.

Cats .......................................... $ 16.00 per day
Walks ....................................... $ 5.00 per walk

Hospital Client Charges
Dogs ........................................ $ 28.80 per day
Cats .......................................... $ 14.40 per day
Walks ....................................... $ 5.00 per walk

Additional Charges
Dispense of Medication per administration is $2.25.

A standard day's fee will be charged on the first day of arrival regardless of the arrival time.

A standard day's fee will also be charged on the day of pick up, unless your pet is picked up by 10:30AM.

Owners picking up or dropping off pets before or after boarding hours will be charged an additional $50 fee.

 

In the event your pet becomes ill, every attempt will be made to contact you prior to treatment. Any treatments instituted will be at the owner's expense. Any animal found with fleas or ticks will be treated with Frontline at the owner's expense. If your pet requires any medication or special diets, please bring these items with your pet and we will be happy to dispense them as instructed. Any medications given will be dispensed at an additional charge.
