CRYOSURGERY

Cryosurgery is not your typical "surgical procedure." It is a non-invasive treatment in which unsightly skin lesions such as warts, skin tags, and papillomas are removed from your cat or dog.

This same day procedure does not require suturing or general anesthesia. The procedure involves minimal discomfort and the recovery healing time is quick.

How Does It Work?

The Cryosurgery site is prepped and a topical anesthetic is applied. During Cryosurgery, your pet's skin lesion is frozen with the use of non-toxic gas that rapidly freezes the area. Over the 10-14 days following treatment, the lesion will begin to scab and eventually shed. Once the lesion has resolved, new healthy tissue can grow in its place. Some larger lesions require multiple treatments for full resolution.

This procedure is ideal for older pets or those with medical conditions.
